What an AVR does
An automatic voltage regulator adjusts an unstable incoming voltage toward an acceptable output range for connected equipment.
AVR is not backup power
An AVR does not normally provide stored energy during an outage. A UPS addresses continuity for a defined load and runtime.
Capacity must reflect the load
Connected power, starting current, phase, input range and operating environment influence selection. Leave appropriate design margin.
Prepare the load list
Send equipment names, ratings, quantities, phase and measured supply conditions where available. Ask for technical confirmation.
